Knitted with worsted weight yarn on size 8 needles. Will be used to create bed blankets for two of my grandsons, who are also learning to knit with this fun pattern. Pattern is available to members of BitsandBobs2-SpecialProjects, a Yahoo group. Once we've made a 'school' of these tropical fishies, we'll pick out solid colors and add to the school until we have enough for at least 2 blankets. The fish fit together, head to tail, to form the blanket. They'll be outlined in black, to create a stained glass look to the finished blankets.

Mini sock Quidditch Pitch

Green field of play. Lines represent each of the 4 Hogwart Houses plus purple for Hogwarts. Black & white cuff represents the black robes of Madam Hooch & the white arches of the goals. A Ryan Family wish ........

I started this last November but couldn't finish it because I wanted something special for the background. Thanks to another Ryan family member, the idea for the background was born and my project is now completed.

Reducio 13 / Deathly Hallows

Reducio 13's theme is the 7th book - Deathly Hallows. I have chosen to send Hermione's purse - there is no description of her purse that I could find, so I chose to go with the owl theme that is so recurrent in Potterverse.
The person to whom I send is in Ravenclaw & prefers the book colors, so she is getting a mini sock in blue & bronze. And then there is the Invisibility Cloak - a most important part of the Deathly Hallows. The Elder Wand & the Resurrection Stone are also represented, altho I didn't have to actually craft them. All 3 will be mailed in Hermione's purse, which was so useful to the 3 friends thru-out the book.
